Dec. 1[margin left: Photo from E]
Drain "δ" Dig to E. of drain "γ" and South of drain "β" to find continuation of "δ" to E. "δ" originally ran parallel with the E.W walls of this complex and ran under "SC" (plan p. 2.) which I erroneously believed to cover well or something of that nature, and beyond to the E. (in digging no signs pit) The tiles of this original drain are c. 32 cm long, and c. 15 cm in diameter. Faint ridge lines visible on surface. - One of these tiles is marked with a Δ (pointed out by Christo who explains that this is mark of workshop often seen on Curium roof tiles, but never noted by him before on a drain tile.
A some later period it was decided to change the course of the drain turning it to S under Wall C. The tiles used in the rebuilding are only 27 cm. long also c. 15 cm in di. and the ridges strongly marked.
It was possibly in changing the course of this drain that the S.E cor of this building was destroyed and the poor stone and cement agglomeration added on upper levels.
