AREA E HOUSE I (Daniel)
The stratification of house I: The construction of the house is dated by the sherds found among the stones of the levelling course of the southeastern wall of E.I.6. Two successive intermediate stages are illustrated by sherds found on rebuildings of the original floor of E.I.1, and in the material of the (upper) floor. The material in the bothros in E.I.7 presumably also dates from the occupation of house I. The destruction of the house is dated by the potsherds found in the accumulation on the floor of E.I.6, (and in the building debris in the cutting in E.I.2.) All levels of houses II AND IV are later than house I. [handwritten: (Cannot be dated in E.I.1 or in the 2nd platform)] [handwritten: No sherds in the earliest floor]
