varies between 0.54 m. and 0.66 m. according to the width of the worked blocks [handwritten: Sections 7] From the southwest corner to 12.80 m. east course 2 rests on the foundation course but east of this pont it rests on what we have designated as course 1. The top of the course slopes fairly uniformly downward from the southwest corner (level -0.58 m.) to 25.13 m. east (original level of top of block -0.71 m.). The course consists here of worked blocks roughly uniform in height but varying in length between 1.55 m. and 0.38 m. At one point, between 20.51 m. east and 21.46 m. east, two blocks instead of one make up the height of the course, the upper one being the longest in the course. The pocket formed by the difference in their respective lenght of 0.53 m. is filled in with small unworked stones. The north face of the wall has been cleared to the foundation course from the southwest corner to the east wall of exedra 5. The blocks in the south face extend through the thickness of the wall between these two points, but as their thickness varies between 0.63 m. and 0.83 m. the north face of the wall, which was not intended to be visible, presents a jagged outline. The interstices on both faces of the wall where cleared are full of pockets, and these are filled in with chips and small stones. The north face has been cleared also at the south end of [handwritten: corridor] 22.68 m. to 23.86 m. east (section, fig. ). 3 from 22.68 m. to 23.86 m. east (section, fig. ). A gap in the south wall at the end of alley 3 from 23.51 m. to 23.63 m. west between two blocks in course 1 and in course 2 immediately above it may have served to drain water from the floor of corridor 3 to the area south of the building (Elevation, fig. 19) It is filled with rubble up to level - A gap in the south wall at the end of corridor 2 from
