serves as a buttress to the south stylobate wall (see below p. ) and whose west wall coincides with the west wall of the South Building (see below p. ) Most of the wall plaster is still preserved on that part of the north face which is still extant. The floor in lime concrete immediately to the north of it at level - 0.32 m. is contiguous with this wall plaster, both being of the same material and having been applied at the same time. This floor extends to within [handwritten: ?in of] the north wall of the South Building, where it meets [handwritten: s] the remains of a rubble construction which was dismantle to the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx level of the floor in order to construct the north wall over it and lay the pavement not extant which once exsisted here between the east arm of the east stylobate wall and the north wall. The lime concrete of the early floor is contiguous also with remains of the plaster which covered the south face of the dismantled structure which is therefore contemporaneous with the floor and the early wall to the south of it. Early wall, floor, and dismantled structure all extent as far east as the east wall of the exedra where they terminated in the footing trench for the construction of the east wall. The east stylobate wall extends 0.11 m. north of the plastered north face of the early wall. The facing orthostates in this arm are not extant but they would have been placed up against the plastered north face of the early wall. There are no vestiges either of a stairway at the the east end of the arm but the extent top of the early wall here would not have been too high at level to have served as the bottom step of a stairway here.

The course of orthostates in the east stylobate wall has been somewhat disturbed, probably by earthquake, with the result that
