I am sending you separately today, in a roll, 10 copies of Palace drawings. I ran into difficulties about the "photomechanical transfers" of Palace plans you requested. You had not specified a size so I assumed they were to be 1:1. It turned out that the recommended company, which does excellent work, could not make them that big. So for 1:1 I had to settle for a different process. I asked them what they called this other process and prints on high contrast paper. The negatives and prints seem to me very good but the price was fabulous: ca. 175.00 for the 7 prints. I think you had better like them!!!
In addition to the 7 prints by this process I include 3 xeroxes. Again a difficulty: you had asked for a xerox of the largest plan, the gridded one of the Palace. They could not do a xerox that big, it turned out.
I enclose herewith two of the color slides made by David Romano of the bird mosaic water color. They seem quite good.
The Director allotted me only 350.00 for all the Cyprus publications this year. The result is, with the xeroxes and plans that I have very little left. I can probably come up with the notebook xeroxes remaining, False, that is. And perhaps xeroxes of the catalogue cards. I don't know about the photographs you requested. Anyway, you will have to let me know what size prints you had in mind. You did not specify.
