Dear Roger,
All of the materials that you sent to me to date have arrived. Many thanks for the high quality of the material and the promptness of the delivery! The expenses were worth it. As for the print size of the photographs, 5" x 8" (i.e. half sheet size) would be fine. I await the remaining material although there's no rush right now.
My grant application for my survey project on Cyprus was turned down. That means, unfortunately, that I will not have a conservator with me in Cyprus this summer. I have reapplied for 1984 and will learn of the decision in mid-December. If the grant application is approved then the conservator will be available in the summer of 1984 for cleaning the Eustolios complex coins.
I will not need any money for this year. The following tentative money request for 1984 is for your consideration and comments.
conservator: wages $250/week x 2 $500.00 maintenance at Kourion Museum 100.00 Excavation House 50.00 draughtsman: wages $300/week x 2 600.00 supplies 100.00 reproduction of drawings 50.00
