October 25, 1982Dear David:

I have before me your latest communication of 1981, a nostalgic postcard of Old Kakopetria, Cyprus. In it you say that you will write me later in more detail. But only silence has ensued! I hope all is well with you. I do think it would be a good idea to resume communication.

In the card you speak of ups and downs: "The most notable downs are the notebooks. Nothing final can be done until I have some answers to numerous questions concerning them and the excavations."

This causes me to wonder if I did or did not furnish you with pertinent copies of the notebooks. That is to say, both Daniel's and Fales'. I have not been able to discover from your file whether or not I did.

If you do not have them I certainly can supply. Just let me know what the state of your record information is and I will act accordingly.

I look forward to your visit on April 12. It will be good to see you again.

Sincerely,

G. Roger Edwards
