DOROTHY KENT HILL 249 WEST THIRTY-FIRST STREET BALTIMORE, MARYLAND 21211

August 16, 1978Dr. G. Roger Edwards University Museum, University of Pennsylvania 33rd and Spruce Streets, Philadelphia, pa. 19104

Dear Roger:

Back in the land of the living, I am ready to consider with you the possibility of publishing the Kourion bronzes - from the Apollo Sanctuary. The number has not greatly increased: a couple of astragaloi, and a fine but hope-less,damaged early bit of relief.

It really does depend upon numbers. I do not see facing a publishing committee and a publisher at this age - with both you and me retired. They are never satisfied and I don't care for the rumpus. If the material is scant enough to make an article, that I would like to do.

One thing might sway me: is the little Olynthus type dancing comedian from the lot? In the Nicosia Museum, dated from 1935. I confess to a weakness for this group.

The picture you sent is enticing, but is this figure not pretty well known? I did see it in Nicosia, and it is a honey.

Expect ot see you the first Sunday in October. Where?

Sincerely,

Handwritten: Dorothy
