February 19, 1977Dear David:

I enclose copies of two letters of V. Karageorghis, one to me, one to Michaelides. They of course deal with his reactions about Michaelides and his suggested solution for the problem.

I leave it up to your good judgment. I offer myself the thought that I think dimly of a joint publication. I would prefer to see us go ahead with out publication as we had planned. So to speak ignoring Michaelides. He cannot, after all, stop us from doing that. Then when we are through he can go ahead and publish what he likes. The concept of his publication is different from ours, as I understand it, anyway. I mean I believe it includes the mosaics of all of Cyprus.

Best greetings. I hope this all won't discourage you.

Sincerely,
