DEPARTMENT OF ANTIQUITIES NICOSIA

1st June, 1976Dear Roger,

Thank you very much for your letter of 24th May. With regard to the mosaics of Curium I know that a young Cypriote, who is now working at the British School in Rome (his name is Demetris Michaelides) has written a dissertation and he asked me to publish it, but I have not yet answered yes or know; I intended to ask you when I receive the material. I really do not know whether you gave him permission for publication or not. I suggest that you write to him to clear up the matter so as to avoid misunderstandings. The idea of publishing the architecture is excellent.

Needless to say that we shall give every assistance to whoever is going to undertake this work.

All good wishes,

Yours,
