Dear Mrs. Godfrey,

As I promised you in our conversation yesterday, I have drawn up and attached hereto a series of proposed regulations which I consider desirable for the regulation of the relations of the museum with its field expeditions.

In drawing up this list I have borne in mind the fact that I am not only a curator but also a prospective field director; I have thus attempted to protect what I believe to be the essential interests of each. I believe that these regulations would assure the smooth running of any excavations now being undertaken or likely to be undertaken in the future by this section of the museum.

Sincerely yours,
