If this catches you before you leave America we should be most grateful if you could help us to get some valves for the Zenith radio which Elektra acquired from one of your compatriots in Cairo. I enclose a note of what is required: they are quite unobtainable in this part of the world. If you do manage to get them could you have them sent, or bring them together with a note of the cost, which we will pay to your bank here.
When last I was at Episcopi every thing seemed in good order and Christo in good form; but the house, like ours at Hilarion, is still a bit damp. We hoped that, for the first time, we should spend the coming summer at Hilarion; but there is now some talk of my going over to help my colleagues in Jerusalem with the repair of the Dome of the Rock.
I saw Dr. Hill last May in Athens, where I went on a small job for the Cyprus Government. He seemed in wonderful form considering all the difficulties he had been through. Peter Daniel I have not seen for about 18 months, but he wrote lately that he was still in Florina. Joe Lastreturned here the other day and has been demobilised; looking for a house and living in the Dome Hotel at Kyrenia for the present.
Dikaios, who sends you his greetings, is hard at work on a guide to the Museum which they hope to publish this year. Elektra joins in sending you all our very best wishes Yours ever, Peter Megaw.
