Episkopi, Limassol, Cyprus.

12 June, 1941Dear Mr. Hill:-

The bearer of this letter, Mr. Frixos Charalambous, is a brother-in-law of a clerk in the Ottoman Bank at Limassol whom I've know for a very long time. He told me about Charalambous who, he says, has just graduated from medical school at Athens with the highest honors. He says he is a very diligent fellow and he is most anxious to obtain an American scholarship which I understand from him is available for Greek students at Athens. His note is to bring him to your attention as a member of the committee disposing of scholarships, and any recommendation you feel you can give him I know would be tremendously appreciated.

As ever,
