H. H. S. Jayne, Esq., University of Pennsylvania Museum, 34th & Spruce Streets, Philadelphia, Pa.

Dear Sir:

Mr. George H. McFadden, who is on the Island of Cyprus, drew various cheques during the year 1935 to Curium Excavation and B. H. H. Hill, totaling $3802.00.

I enclose copy of my letter to him of January 14th setting out the dates, amounts and to whom drawn.

Mr. McFadden replies that these amounts represent donations in connection with the University of Pennsylvania Museum and would come under the heading of Education and are, therefore, deductable from his Federal Income Tax report.

Would you be good enough to address to Mr. George H. McFadden at #121 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, a letter of acknowledgment in such form as will be acceptable to the Income Tax Collector.

Thanking you,

Yours very truly,

Handwritten: signature

Secretary to Mr. McFadden.
