    A peasant had represented himself as owner of the Bronze Age site on the east slope of the hollow near Larnaka and given Myres leave to excavate; before the work was far advanced the representative of 'a M. Zarifi living in Constantinople' put in a counter-claim and prohibited excavation. Myres cleared and closed the tombs already open, five tombs in all being opened there in 1894.
