    Published L'Isole piu famose del mondo (Venice; Cobham gives editions 1576, 1590, 1604, 1605, and translates from the second, of 1590). On Kouklia: 'Here are many ancient tombs, like underground chambers, in which have been found many wonderful things, as also at Baffo, Salamina and elsewhere.' Porcacchi says his accounts were corrected by mariners and travellers who told him orally.
