Life and work
- 1711–1713Travelled at the Swedish king's expense through Asia Minor, Egypt, Sinai, Palestine, Syria and Cyprus.
- 4 February 1713Reached Larnaca ('Lernica') from Tripoli by English ship after a storm-delayed crossing (left Tripoli 28 January, turned back, re-embarked 31 January).

- 1 March 1713Left Cyprus on a French ship; reached Smyrna on 24 March. His diary of Cyprus records trade, the harbour at Larnaca, the European community and a local uprising incident; Åström found it of little interest to epigraphists and archaeologists.

- 1889K. U. Nylander published his diary as Resa i Orienten 1711-1712 (Uppsala), with only a brief summary of the Cyprus part; manuscript in the National Archives, Stockholm.
