    At his request the British Museum donated material from its own Cyprus excavations, with duplicates from the Tamassos material bought from Warren's executors that year, to the Museum of Ancient History, University College Dublin.

  2. 1911
    Ulbrich and Kiely say Browne 'may also have been behind' the 1911 donation of 'Mycenaean, Cypriote, Greek and Roman Antiquities' to St Finian's College, Mullingar (a Catholic school). They cite Haywood for his belief that antiquities were 'concrete proof' of the past in teaching.
