Life and work
- 1932–1933Toured Cyprus with W. H. Buckler and Vivian Seymer, visiting historic monuments including the painted churches of the Troodos; the three produced the first scholarly study of Byzantine frescoes on the island.

- 16 November 1932Invited, with Buckler and Seymer, to the London meeting of the Archaeological Joint Committee that formally proposed a Cyprus Department of Antiquities; named as one of those who had raised the alarm about Cyprus's Byzantine monuments.
