  1. 1600–1650
The Fugger Amazon sarcophagus, found at Soloi in 1557, was bought from the Fuggers in the first half of the 17th century by Ferdinand II (or his son Ferdinand III); the catalogue's introduction says 'wohl Kaiser Ferdinand II.' and notes the legend of Rudolf II for c. 1000 talers. It stood in the Hofburg garden, later the Court Library, and passed to the Münz- und Antikenkabinett in March 1805.
