Life and work

    Painted a watercolour (fig. 4) of the 'Cypriote Room' in the Lower Belvedere, Vienna, shortly before the imperial collections moved to the new Hofmuseum on the Ring. It shows a case of Cypriote pottery and small figures from the Cesnola collection, Samothrace architectural fragments from the 1875 Austrian campaign, and the life-size votive statue of a priest from Pyla (cat. 76), bought in 1872 from Rear Admiral Millosich.
