Sycomore Ancient Art

Sycomore Ancient Art says it began in 1971 as Galerie du Sycomore on the rue des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and that it moved to Geneva in 1993, where it trades from the cathedral square, the Cour Saint-Pierre^3,4. Sycomore Ancient Art SA was incorporated on 14 October 2009, with its seat in Zug⁵.

Jean-Louis Domercq is named as founder in the gallery's profile on MasterArt, which puts him at more than forty years in the trade; he is the board member listed for the company^4,5. The gallery's own site sorts its stock into Egyptian and Greek and Roman antiquities³. It exhibited at Frieze Masters in London in 2016 and 2019⁶.

The museum record of the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University in Atlanta credits Domercq, of Sycomore Ancient Art, as donor in 2001 of a Base Ring double juglet (bilbil), number 2001.005.001¹.
