About

Göta's World, legally Götan Maailma Oy, is a Helsinki gallery that sells antiquities, tribal art and curiosities. According to its About page it was established in 2011 and is run by Thomas Hamberg and Risto Ant-Wuorinen, and it offers Asian, Pre-Columbian, classical and tribal art together with appraisals and rentals3. A Finnish company record gives the registration date as 27 April 2011, with Hamberg as managing director and Ant-Wuorinen as a board member15. Atlas Obscura describes the shop as Hamberg's Helsinki "Wunderkammer", which began with vintage goods and curiosities and later added antiquities14.

The antiquities section of the website has a "Greek & Cypriot" category4. A search for "cypriot" on the site returned 23 items5. They include a Cypro-Geometric II-III Bichrome III plate with wishbone handles at EUR 2,2506, a Late Cypriot bilbil at EUR 7507, a Cypriot terracotta juglet at EUR 85010 and a Hellenistic marble relief fragment from Paphos at EUR 4958.
