About

Galerie Zacke is a Vienna auction house that, according to the gallery, Irene Zacke and Wolfgang Zacke founded in 1968 and that is now a family business in its third generation1,3. It began holding Asian art auctions in 1995 and says it has run more than 1,000 auctions and 200 exhibitions, besides publishing catalogues and art books3,6. LiveAuctioneers lists 127 of its past catalogues5. In spring 2022 it moved to a new gallery and saleroom in Vienna's First District1. The company's imprint names Susanne Zacke as managing director and Lukas and Maximilian Zacke as partners4.

Cypriot material appears inside the periodic antiquities sales. In September 2024 the house offered lot 1454, a Cypriot Bichrome amphora of about 750 to 600 BC, from the estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942 to 2022)2. The catalogue for the Fine Antiquities & Ancient Art sale of 21 November 2025 includes Cypriot pieces7.
