About

A Paris gallery that has passed through three generations of one family. According to the gallery, the family came from Eastern Anatolia and Carnig Kevorkian began trading around 1900 near the Hôtel Drouot, before moving to the gallery's present site in 19232,3.

Annie Kevorkian took over in the 1960s, and the gallery's history credits her with public sales of Luristan bronzes and Islamic ceramics in 1980-821,2. Corinne Kevorkian has run the business since 2006 and served as general secretary of the Syndicat national des antiquaires from 2014 to 20191,2. The gallery deals in ancient Near Eastern and Islamic art and in Persian and Indian miniatures1.

It first exhibited at TEFAF Maastricht in 20133. It is a member of the Syndicat national des antiquaires, IADAA and the Compagnie nationale des experts1.

    Carnig Kevorkian's gallery settles at 21 quai Malaquais on the left bank, Paris, after an earlier start in the Hotel Drouot district around 1900, according to the gallery.
