History
- 1860–1861Wikipedia (tertiary) says the Castellani house had a Paris branch from 1860 and a London branch from 1861 (the London branch run by Carlo Giuliano).
- 1865–1882Alessandro Castellani sold antiquities to the British Museum over these years, 'occasionally Cypriot pieces' per Tatton-Brown; no Cypriot objects identified.
- 1878Castellani bought three Black-on-Red flasks at Drouot from the former Barre collection (later Lyon E 152-1 to -3).
- 1884Posthumous Rome sale of Castellani's collection. A special Lyon credit bought a lot, entering the Lyon museum on 31 March 1884, and Berlin lists 'Slg. Castellani' of 1884 among its sources of Cypriot antiquities (identification with Alessandro probable, not stated).
