History
- 1871Rear Admiral Georg von Millosich, on a six-week cruise of the frigate Habsburg (from 19 May 1871) through Asia Minor, Cyprus and the Syrian coast, bought antiquities in Cyprus, including a votive statue from Pyla shipped past the Ottoman export ban (an obituary anecdote); the statue reached Vienna in 1872.
