Apollo Art Auctions, an ancient art and antiquities auction house in central London, is directed by Dr Ivan Bonchev, who is named as its founder; the firm's own site says it was founded in 20101,8. Companies House records the company, number 11450370, as incorporated on 5 July 2018 as Pax Romana Auctions Ltd and renamed Apollo Art Auctions Ltd on 17 September 2021, with Ivan Boyanov Bonchev as sole director7. In August 2019, as Pax Romana, it held a 601-lot sale opposite the British Museum with bidding on LiveAuctioneers11. A LAPADA listing and the British Numismatic Trading Association's member page carry the name Apollo Galleries Ltd, and the association lists it as a member since 2019 with Dr Bonchev as contact4,10.

It sells classical, Egyptian, Near Eastern, Asian and medieval antiquities in sales held in the gallery, with online bidding through LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable1. Its site lists departments for ancient art and antiquities, Asian art, Islamic and Indian art, and ancient and medieval coins, and says it has a database of 20,000 clients in over 70 countries8,9. Some of its sales are of named collections, and its sales in October 2026 are announced as The Prince Collection, in antiquities and in jewellery and beads2,9.
