The project
In 1968 the Department of Antiquities recorded an Early Cypriot I tomb in a previously unknown cemetery on the northern edge of Pyla1. Its roof had collapsed, and it contained only Red Polished pottery1. The chronicle gives three Red Polished I vessels: a conical cup with a deep bowl, horizontally perforated at the bottom (CS.1688/19; height 9 cm), a high-footed cup (CS.1688/11; height 20.5 cm) and a jug with a cut neck (CS.1688/7; height 22 cm)1.
