The project
In 1981 Pavlos Flourentzos directed the rescue excavation of four Early Iron Age tombs at the Old Municipality site in Nicosia, for the Department of Antiquities1. Tomb 3 has parallels with pottery from Ayia Irini-Kharangas1. Flourentzos published the tombs as "Four Early Iron Age Tombs from Nicosia Old Municipality" in RDAC 1981, pages 115 to 128, a report cited in Violaris's 2004 study of the Palaion Demarcheion site2.
