The project
At Tráchonas, between Galinopomi and Rizokárpaso, a small Middle Bronze cemetery was the object of a 1952 attempt to save intact tomb-groups, which did not succeed1. Megaw reports that recent looting had put red-on-black pottery of the best quality on the local market1. Some specimens, including unusual forms, were secured for the Cyprus Museum1.
