The project
Porphyrios Dikaios excavated one tomb in the cemetery at Anoyira-Trapezi, which held several intact and fragmentary vessels1. Four are in the Cyprus Museum: a flat-based bowl with an elongated vertical lug and black interior, a jar with a relief crescent on the neck, a fragmentary jug and a two-handled round-based cooking pot1. Webb and Frankel report that Swiny identified them as Chalcolithic III (Philia), but argue that they are probably early Red Polished rather than RP(P)1.
