Temple Boy statuette

Temple Boy statuette: Body of a boy statuette of the type known as the temple boy. The head is missing. The boy is seated on a slanted plinth with the left leg crossed at the front and he has his left arm resting to the side. Only part of his right leg which would have been bent and at a right angle to the side has survived. The boy's right hand is holding or stroking a bird. The boy wears a long and heavily pleated chiton that covers his legs and bracelets on both his wrists. Most of the details of the body and the clothing have faded.
