Temple boy statuette

Temple boy statuette: A statue of the type known as the temple boy, seated in an oblong plinth and of a wide and short body. The boy's left leg is foreshortened and crossed at the front of the body. The left arm is to the side and wears a bracelet at the wrist. The left hand holds a round object. The right leg is bent and is in a right angle to the body. His right arm extends to the front of the right leg and may have been stroking an animal. The boy wears a long cloak with pleated sleeves, much of the details of the cloak have eroded. From his left shoulder hangs a single chain of rectangular amulets and signet rings but the details of the chain have significantly eroded. The back of the statue is very flat.
