Jug

Jug: A wheel made complete jug with a circular base, a long ovoid body, a tall and thin neck and a flat rim with one vertical handle from the shoulder to the slightly everted rim. The body of the jug has strong reeds and there is ridge at the base of the neck The jug is decorated in the Black Slip Bucchero type decoration is of Type IBc of Late Cypriot IIC2 era. The clay is buff with some grit, evenly fired hard. The slip is of dark red wash, mottled in firing and worn in part.
