Terracotta Female Figurine

Description:

Lower part of a large terracotta figurine of a female, probably a worshipper or perhaps a deity; hollow, mould-made on the front but plain on the back; she stands on a high plinth, right hand along the side, the left arm is missing from the shoulder but was possibly outstretched owitht he hand wrapped in the cloak; she wears an ankle-length pleated tunic (chiton) over which is a green cloak (himation) with red borders secured at the waist (himation); the left foot is placed slightly forward, protruding from under the tunic; bracelets on her right wrist - the hand holds an indeterminate object, possibly a flower or frond. Lower part of the assembly hole is preserved, the inner lip of which is flattened out to make the shape of a thumb print. Figurine made of fairly coarse buff clay, painted with red, green and yellow (?) (on the left shoe).
