Greek Grave Stele
Description: | Limestone grave stele with a alphabetic Greek inscription: an elegaic couplet recording the epitaph of Idagygos of Halikarnassos; rectangular stone slab with a square section, damaged in places on the top right hand side; the text is arranged in ten somewhat irregularly sized lines, dextroverse, with word dividers in the form pairs of dots arranged like colons; the last line consists of the single letter 'nu'; the letters are rather crudely executed and spaced.
