Black-on-Red Ware Jug
Pottery jug in a variant of Black-on-Red ware; wheel-made; globular body on a very broad disc foot; narrow conical-convex sides with a very tall trefoil mouth; single handle (elliptical section) from shoulder to rim. Made of fine buff clay with a semi-lustrous reddish-brown slip decorated with brown paint: horizontal and vertical concentric circles on both sides, irregular wavy lines on the neck, floral or plant motif below the trefoil mouth, and a painted garland at the base of the handle.
