Green Stone Petal Jar

Stone jar, possibly steatite or chlorite; dull greyish-green colour; ovoid-piriform in profile with a concave neck; everted square-profiled rim; incised decoration in the form of crudely incised vertical petals arranged around the body of the vase enclosed on top and bottom by three and four rows of horizontal parallel lines respectively; two crescent shaped, pierced lug-handles on shoulder; exterior of the vase is polished, the inside is left an unworked state though the surface has a soapy texture.
