Description:

Head and upper body of female figure of Base-Ring II ware wearing a flat cap and originally holding her arms across her middle, arms now missing; hand-made, hollow construction; applied pellets for eyes; large pinched nose; incised detail for mouth and nostrils, incised lines preserved at the top of the pubic triangle; the cap is a separately applied disc of clay sealing the top of the head, with traces of black paint remaining; black and red bands at neck partially preserved; thin, matt brown self-slip; fabric brown with grey core; surface poorly preserved.
