Dear very honoured Prof. Schaeffer,

During your last visit to Mainz I promised you the manuscript of my report on the restoration of the Enkomi bronzes. Today I have at last finished the report and am sending it to you. There are 9 plates, of which the first 8 show all objects at 1:1 and the 9th plate at 2:3. The plates are therefore to be reduced by 1:5 .

I enclose the text and the plate captions. I hope that the report meets your expectations.

With warm greetings and best regards to your honoured wife
