Professor SCHAEFFER Member of the Institut 14, rue Turgot, The [illegible] 78 SAINT-GERMAIN-en-LAYE

My dear Maître,

I receive your letter of 17 September during a stay at Saint-Germain, as I am currently caught up with my excavation researchers at Vis.

Entirely agreed that Mr Nicolaïdou should take part in your mission again this year.

I have no news from Professor Hanell.

I will not return to Saint-Germain until after 6 October.

Wishing you a fruitful excavation campaign, I ask you to present my respectful regards to Mrs Schaeffer, and to believe, my dear Maître, in the assurance of my most devoted sentiments.
