Herrn Prof. Dr. Cl.F.A. Schaeffer Collège de France 11, place M.-Berthelot Paris 5/France

Very honoured Professor Schaeffer!

Please allow me to write to you with a question. As you may already know, Prof. Hundt and I intend to start in the coming weeks on a "Tour de France" to record Bronze Age full-hilted daggers. Would it be possible, on this occasion and with your help, to make an advance in the matter of Vix at St. Germain? When could we meet you in Paris? If it were necessary for technical reasons, we would of course also come to Paris independently of the dagger project, to discuss Vix.

I myself have not seen Prof. Hundt for several months; at present he is spending his last holiday days in Switzerland. Perhaps he has already approached you with the same question independently of me?

I am pleased to be able to tell you that Prof. Karageorghis recently visited us and that all questions concerning Enkomi or the moulding project could be answered quickly and to the full satisfaction of all those involved.

I would be very grateful to you for a short reply.

Handwritten: P.S. Work still without the desired prints. As the negative is no longer available, they are also not very pleasing. Friendly greetings

Handwritten: D. Schaff

With best regards I remain yours
