Lapithos, Tomb 316 (SCE I, p. 121, pl. XXXI, XXXII (I), one single chamber, 6 burials, no stratif. , no great diff. in time betw. bur. contains numerous Red polished III ware (+ White painted III) and Red pol. IV ware, also black pol. ware. « Tomb must be dated to Middle of Cypriote II period ». p. 121. According to Studies MC II = 1900-1750.

No Concordance of the periods Early Cypriot I to III with Red pol. wares I to III, p. 267 (Studies): Early Cypriote I with Red pol. I ware, hitherto only found mixed with some Red pol. II ware; Early Cypriote II, where the Red pol. I ware is crowded out by the Red pol II ware, together with the Black pol. ware coming in towards the end of the period; Early Cypriot III with Red pol. II & III wares and a successive increase of Black pol. ware, while the Black slip & White painted wares begin to appear towards the end of the period. Must be born in mind, that the Early Cypr I period hitherto is only poorly represented and therefore more vaguely outlined than Early Cypr. II & III
