CARL SCHUSTER [illegible] WOODSTOCK, N.Y.

April 21, 1962.

[illegible] Professor Claude Schaeffer [illegible] Collège de France [illegible] Paris [illegible]

Dear Professor Schaeffer,

Enclosed herewith I return to you the photograph of a Vounous vessel, which you kindly sent me at the time of my visit to you in August, 1960. I was glad to see you again, as you may remember, and to hear about your work. I wrote to [illegible] in Nicosia but received no reply, as you see from the enclosed photocopy of his letter of Sept. 1, 1960, enabling me a replica of the design (which especially interested me because of the "hourglasses"), made by Mrs. Stewart -- of which I also send you a copy herewith (by registered mail). Only recently I heard from her [illegible], and was sad news of her husband's death.

With kind regards to you and [illegible]

Yours sincerely,

Handwritten: Carl Schuster
