Dear Professor Schaeffer,
Enclosed herewith I return to you the photograph of a Vounous vessel, which you kindly lent me at the time of my visit to you in August, 1960. I sent the photograph, as you suggested, to Prof. Stewart in Australia; and he replied, as you see from the enclosed photocopy of his letter of Sept. 1, 1960, sending me a drawing of the design (which especially interested me because of the "hourglasses"), made by Mrs. Stewart -- of which I also send you a copy herewith (my negative 1713.32).
Only recently I heard from Mrs. Stewart the sad news of her husband's death.
