Dear Dr. Schaeffer,

Typed: I am sorry to have to tell you, I gather that he is not yet aware that I have agreed to make an electrotype of the Enkomi Cup and I have to-day written him as follows:-

"Many thanks for your letter. In order to avoid any misunderstanding, I hasten to say that if or hoping from Ashmolo that I would be given the time needed to use the same method of moulding which I had in mind. I agreed to do the electrotype of the Bristol Cup. Ashmole advised Schaeffer of this and I assumed that you would have been aware of the lapse by now. You may be assured that the test will be done as speedily as possible, but now long it will take I cannot say for certain."

Typed: Yours sincerely,
