Dear Dr. Schaeffer,

In a letter from Mr. Magaw I gather that he is not yet aware that I have agreed to make an electrotype of the Enkomi Cup and I have to-day written him as follows:-

"Many thanks for your letter. In order to avoid any misunderstanding, I hasten to say that after hearing from Ashmole that I would be given the time needed to use the safe method of moulding which I had in mind, I agreed to do the electrotype of the Enkomi Cup. Ashmole advised Schaeffer of this and I assumed that you would have been aware of the facts by now. You may be assured that the job will be done as carefully as possible but how long it will take I cannot say for certain."

Yours sincerely,
