When you see Kendrick again to whom I shall send a word of thanks directly, please ask him not to exhibit the bowl until I write to him or you from Nicosia. I would like to decide the matter with the director of the antiquities of Cyprus. The division of the finds having not yet been decided, I don't know who will become the proprietor of the cup in the end. So technically it is still british property or property of the Cyprus Government. [handwritten: I] shall be of course in favor of the proposition, if it can be [handwritten: done] in such a way that no archaeologist could reproduce or publish the bowl pending my report and yours are out in press. Later on, I also shall send the Illustrated London News a report showing the bowl.

In view of its later publication in that periodical and in the National Geographical Magazine in Washington where I publish a general report on my new discoveries in Cyprus, could you have me made a good colour [handwritten: kodak] colour photograph of the plate. I have lately made such photographs with my Leica on Kodakcolour film with very good results. Of course a colour photo size 9X12 would be preferable. If that can be done in London, please let me know the approximate cost.

I am so sorry to be away from Paris when you arrive there on september 15th. It would have been so nice to renew our war acquaintance and to thank you verbally for your work and report. But, helas, I am on my way again for more discoveries...

I hope to be able when returning end of the year to plan a visit long overdue to London and the British which I have not seen since Sir John my good friend left. Give him a ring when you return and tell him of the find and give him and his wife my love.

I hope you had a pleasant vacation with lots of sun in France and I wish you a good return to your country and your fine work.

Yours sincerely
