During the XVIIth B.C. they were succeeded by a Late Bronze Age population which soon imported goods from the Aegean Island and Greece, notably Mycenae, and whose prosperity and culture is impressive. From this period dates an intact tomb found by the expedition which contained more than 200 complete vases of all form and origin, some gold jewelry and a fine polychrome fayence cup. They had been deposited as funeral offerings and were found in exactly the position in which they had been placed on the vault more than 3000 years ago. The opening of the vault and the succeeding operation of study and removal of the finds have been filmed by the Cyprus Television Service under the Direction of Mr. Reno Wideson.

Three successive layers of late Bronze Age settlements have been identified, the second of which towards the end of the XIIIth century was taken over, probably violently by people from Aegean characterized by the so-called "close style pottery".

Towards 1200 B.C. a grave invasion has brought to a halt the entire Mycenaean town of Enkomi with traces of burning and looting all over the city. A foreign but not yet identified definitely identified racial element took over the town, built its dwellings among the ruins of the Mycenaean houses and soon afterwards confirmed successfully its economic activity. The town indeed enjoyed then a last period of prosperity. Iron weapons and tools now occur among the Bronze Age implements and new style of pottery, seals, ornaments make their appearance.
